What is Happy Star Rewards™?

The Happy Star Rewards™ app is a loyalty program where we reward our fans for visiting Carl’s Jr.® restaurants. It’s simple. The more times you check-in, the more rewards you'll win on The Wheel of Awesome™.

How do I get Happy Star Rewards™ on my phone?

It's easy. Just download it for free from the iTunes App Store or Android Marketplace.

How much does the Happy Star Rewards™ app cost?

Nada. It's totally free. Think of it as a big, premium, charbroiled hug.

Why do you need my location?

Your location lets us confirm you’re in a restaurant when you check-in. You can still access the rest of the app, but when you hit "Check-In" you’ll always be prompted to give us your location.

Why do you need my email address?

Your email address is your User ID. Without it, you cannot receive our most premium rewards. Also, if you lose your phone, all your prizes and saved rewards can be restored. Which is nice.

Check-in

I'm in a restaurant. Why am I unable to check-in?

Hmm, that’s strange. Your phone’s GPS may need to be reset. Turn the phone off and try again. If that doesn’t work, please send us info about this location so we can get the problem resolved and you can check in next time. Support@HappyStarRewards.com

I'm at a drive-thru. Why can I not check-in?

Some restaurants have different signal strengths than others. Try checking in when you’re closest to the restaurant. If you still have no luck, your phone’s GPS may need to be reset. Turn the phone off and try again.

Is there a limit to how many times I can check-in?

Yes. We allow a maximum of 3 check-ins per day. Once during breakfast (5:30 AM to 10:30 AM), once during lunch hours (10:30 AM to 5:00 PM), and once during dinner time or late-night (5:00 PM to 5:30 AM).

I’m checking-in and it says they’re having trouble connecting to the server. What should I do?

I'm checking-in and it says there's bad reception. What should I do?

Make sure your phone has service or try connecting to a wifi signal in the area. You may also need to reset your phone’s GPS. Turn the phone off and try again. If the problem persists, please send a message to our Customer Support team and they’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Support@HappyStarRewards.com

I'm checking-in and it says they can't find where I am. What should I do?

Did you allow us to use your location? Please confirm that we can use you’re your location by exiting the app and entering your phone’s general Settings. Under Location Services, make sure that Happy Star Rewards™ is marked ON. If it is, please try again.

Do I receive more spins if I check in at a Carl’s Jr.® and then at a Hardee’s® ?

The Hardee’s® Wheel of Awesome™ is different from the Carl’s Jr.® Wheel of Awesome™. Unfortunately, your Carl’s Jr.® wheel spins are not interchangeable with your Hardee’s® wheel spins.

How do I get extra spins on The Wheel of Awesome™?

Simple. You get a spin on your first visit and every fourth check-in thereafter. Visit the "Rewards" tab and "Happy Star Rewards™ Status" to find out exactly how many check-ins needed in order to spin the The Wheel again.

Why is it called The Wheel of Awesome™?

It's called The Wheel of Awesome™ because every time you spin you get something awesome. That, and "The Wheel of Super Cool" was already taken.

Rewards

I was interrupted (received call, text, etc.) while redeeming my coupon. Where is my prize?

No worries. We saved your prize in "My Saved Rewards," located in the "Rewards" tab.

The application crashed when I was redeeming a coupon. What do I do?

You’re prize is waiting for you in "My Saved Rewards," which is located in the "Rewards" tab.

My screen went to sleep when I was redeeming a coupon. Where is my prize?

Check out "My Saved Rewards," located in the "Rewards" tab.

My phone’s battery died when I was redeeming a coupon. Where is my prize?

Don’t freak out, your prize has been saved in "My Saved Rewards," located in the "Rewards" tab.

I won a premium prize and still haven't received it. What gives?

Patience, young grasshopper. Please allow up to 4 weeks for your reward to be mailed to you. To check shipping status of non-food or beverage stuff, visit www.wheelprize.com and follow instructions.

How do I unlock the locked premium rewards?

The more you check in, the more premium rewards you unlock. For example, if a reward says you need 6 more check-ins, then you should probably check-in 6 more times to unlock it.

I checked-in but I didn't get to spin The Wheel of Awesome™. Why not?

You need to check-in 4 times in order to earn another spin of The Wheel of Awesome™. Check your "Happy Star Rewards™ Status" located in the "Rewards" tab. To see how many more check-ins you need to get another spin.

When do my saved rewards expire?

Rewards last for 7 days. The clock is ticking. Make sure you use them before they expire.

Where are my rewards saved?

Your rewards are saved in "My Saved Rewards," located in the "Rewards" tab.

I won a reward that I don't want. Can I exchange it for another item?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow our customers to exchange their rewards.

Miscellaneous

How do I find the restaurant nearest to me?

Just press the "Locator" tab on the bottom of the screen. You can either automatically locate the nearest restaurant to you based on your location, or you can manually type in a zip code. Especially handy when you plan on being hungry in a different place later.
